2020: The Foundation
In the midst of global uncertainty, David McRae and a small team of educators launched Social Experiment Inc. Our first mission was simple: renovate a dilapidated community center in Decatur to create a safe space for learning. This black-and-white memory serves as our cornerstone.
2022: Expanding Our Reach
By our second year, we expanded our outreach to five neighboring counties. Our volunteers traveled thousands of miles to deliver learning kits and establish the first of our mobile tuition support units. The smiles on the children's faces became our primary motivation.
2024: Systemic Success
The 'Social Experiment' proved its hypothesis. By integrating financial aid with community-led tutoring, we saw a 40% increase in student performance across our partner schools. Today, we continue to innovate and grow, reaching more children than ever before.
Our Strategic Focus
5. Target Beneficiaries
Our primary focus is on children aged 5-18 from low-income households in Georgia. Secondary beneficiaries include parents and local educators who receive resources to better support their students.
13. Financial Model
We operate on a diverse funding model: 40% from community grants, 30% from corporate partnerships, and 30% from individual monthly sustainers through our 'Social Experiment' crowdfunding platform.
